Hello, my name is George. As the new pastor of Immanuel Baptist, I would love to introduce myself and my family. My lovely wife, Misty, and I have been married for fourteen years. We have two magnificent children: Hope, 4, and Justice, 7. Hope is a princess who enjoys her Barbies and gymnastics. She also loves to put on performances for her family singing and dancing. Justice is my hunting buddy who wants to try every sport imaginable (even extreme ones involving his dirt bike and skateboard!) and loves his Christian rock (like T.F.K.). Our family enjoys motorcycles (no Harley YET), martial arts, video games, and lots of cartoons! I have taught and coached in schools of different sizes for the last ten years. I have taught and coached in various levels and various subjects. Misty is also a teacher and coach, but is currently working at home to care for our children. This is my first full time engagement as a pastor. In the past I have worked in a bivocational capacity. I have had a diverse work experience before teaching that has helped equip me to understand and minister to a broad group of people. We have worked in youth ministry prior to pastoring and still hold youth dear to our heart. We enjoy sports of virtually every kind and are learning to appreciate new ones with our children. We are die-hard Sooner fans, but are learning to enjoy Arkansas’s beloved Hogs. There is more I could share, but I just wanted to give you a snapshot of where we are.
